I used to have an internal monologue that went something like this:
“You’re always going to be alone. You don’t fit in.
You’re better than everyone else at ________. Someday you will solve x [big world problem] and then everyone will see how great you are.
You don’t belong. Stay outside this group/relationship/activity/workplace.”
This was contrasted with terrible self-sabotaging life choices that showed my feelings of low self-worth despite the inner thoughts of gradiosity.
Psychologist author Alice Miller says that depression and grandiosity are two sides of the same coin. This is the coin of low self-worth.
We’re either worthless or better than everyone else. There is no in between.
Maybe you’ve started to notice that your internal feeling of emptiness, depression, grandiosity (a sense of being better or knowing more than everyone) don’t go away no matter how much food you eat, alcohol you drink, or new clothing you buy.
You keep thinking, “there’s more than this, right?”
Or, maybe you think, “why am I still not happy?”
Or, “there must be something wrong with me.”
I thought there was something wrong with me. Until I figured out where the emptiness feeling was coming from and how to heal it.

Cebulla Coaching Method
This is the practice of becoming the seeer behind your thoughts.
Meditation practice strengthens our deep inner knowing. Examining our thoughts and their validity is another way to cultivate mindfulness.
Together we can search deeper into your personal history than you could do on your own. I provide thea safe space to talk openly about the places that hurt, the things about which we feel embarrassed,
and the places of shame. We shine a healing light on those places and start the work of building new thoughts, habits, and behaviors for a new life.
Ecology is the study of how all things work together to form an interdependent system. I was an ecology major at UC Berkeley.
Facets of our lives do not exist in vacuums–rather we must look at how the peices fit together for total mental, physical, and emotional well being.
In my early twenties I went through a period of drug addiction followed by depression, and had learn from scratch how to feel excited about life. I couldn’t have done this without the help of therapists and life coaches. The power of their work on my life inspired me to bring their lessons (and one’s I have learned since) to you. Founder of OTHERWORLD
Before I started working with Alison, I was having trouble selling myself, my talents and my products to people. We worked on stepping into my power, finding my natural strengths and vibrancy, and eventually getting clear on what my ideal world would look like. She gave me exercises and articles to read that helped me begin to build this life from where I’m at currently. I really valued her ability to listen and compliment me when I wasn’t really listening to myself. I recommend her to anyone wanting to hit the re-set button and shift they’re perspective on what their capable of.
COO, Real Estate Development
Alison helped me find practical tools to deal with negative self-talk and accountability tools in dealing with deadlines and agreements to complete tasks in my work. If you are ready to do the work, Alison is ready to give you challenging yet manageable exercises and tools to try out. She moves at whatever pace you are ready for but knows when to give you a nudge when you need it. The work we have done has led to tangible results in my health, personal and professional life, such as loosing over 20lbs in 6 weeks. Alison’s coaching and encouragement led to my nomination and selection for San Luis Obispo County’s ‘Top 20 Under 40’ [an award that recognizes change-makers & leaders].
Fine Art Photographer
When I started one on one coaching with Alison I was constantly feeling discontented and unfulfilled, but I didn’t know how to change that. We worked on staying present with discomfort, persistence while trying to figure out my dreams, and getting over my fear of rejection. I discovered that I could actually reach my goals which gave me the confidence to grow my Instagram following to over 6000, land multiple art shows, and move to New York to pursue art. Moving forward I will now face challenges with confidence, persistence, and a dash of laughter. Alison’s coaching was just what I needed because she could remind me how amazing life is even when I was at my lowest. I valued her ability to inspire me in a way that fueled my internal sources of motivation. I recommend her to anyone seeking direction in their life.
Actress and Writer
First of all I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Alison. When I first started I was struggling with a lot of issues of shame, guilt, and problems with self worth. I would feel like any time I made a mistake that was somehow a reflection on what kind of a person I was. You know, you do a bad thing and suddenly you’re a bad person. It was pretty amazing because I had never felt comfortable articulating that to anybody before, but within my first session with Alison I was able to just say, “this is my problem.” I never once felt judged by her. I never once felt anything other than love and support from her which was so instrumental. Since working together, I really do feel like there has been an improvement in my life. I feel like I have practical tools to use when I’m having a negative self talk day or having a day where I’m sifting through a lot of shame and guilt, like: the rubber band challenge, a brain dump… there’s so many you’ll just have to find out what they are. There’s so many I can’t even list them all here. One thing she said to me that I want to mention here, is she introduced this idea to me about being humble before your mistakes. That humility implied a gentleness that I could get behind with all my negative self talk. I had never had anyone put it in such direct terminology for me before. It was a huge life changer. I think I’m probably going to continue working with her forever or until I run out of problems and have no need. I just want to reiterate how grateful I am and I really encourage anybody who’s struggling with anything in their life that they just can talk about or they think no one’s going to have a solution for because it sounds insane, talk to her. Reach out to her. She’s your girl.
